The HBCU CyberChat is a virtual speaker series designed to enhance the cybersecurity knowledge and awareness of students, faculty, and industry professionals within PROPEL’s HBCU Cybersecurity Consortium.
This program will guide students in designing a personalized learning plan aimed at securing a career in cybersecurity. Throughout this process, an accelerator mentor will provide support via structured and self-paced labs.

Join the HBCU Cybersecurity Consortium Steering Committee. We will have 11 active members and no more than 15 faculty members, reflecting a balance between industry representation and other key stakeholders.
Create a hub that is recognized as the go-to place for driving advancements in the cybersecurity field, promoting cutting-edge research, developing progressive learnings and partnerships.
Create and sustain a culture of cybersecurity excellence at HBCUs; advance new initiatives in leadership and the facilitation of learning; and support faculty and institutional stakeholder goals for professional development.
Seamlessly integrate real-world/outside-the-classroom opportunities (from industry and government partners) within the traditional classroom to help students build abilities and skills before they enter the workforce.
Develop a diverse pipeline of graduates who are exceptionally qualified to fill key roles and make transformative contributions to government, industry and academia.
By collaborating with the HCC, our industry partners gain access to a pool of highly skilled and motivated students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the nation. These students bring diverse perspectives and fresh ideas to the table, enriching your organization with their unique talents and experiences.
